My late husband and I started our sons off as readers at a very young age. Today, they are voracious readers.

About This Quote

As a child, my son loved to read. He devoured book after book. It was almost as if he couldn’t get enough of the stories and characters that filled the pages of a good book. As he grew up, he continued his love of reading.

He loved to read just for fun. He loved to read on breaks from school and at night before he went to sleep. He would often tell me, “Mom, I can’t wait to get home so I can read another story.” In my life, I have seen many children grow up and become adults who don’t care about reading or who have become bored with books.

Those children are lucky if they end up reading books at all.
